Sports (and injury) massage is a massage therapy technique designed to address the needs of athletes and those recovering from injuries. It goes beyond a typical relaxation massage by incorporating deeper tissue work, stretching, and specific trigger point therapy to target areas of muscle tension, tightness, and pain related to athletic training, competition, physically intensive jobs, or injuries.
